Reg Gabriel

Reg Gabriel is the Principal of a Secondary-Middle School in Abbotsford where he has been a teacher and administrator for the past 30 years. He has been a coach since the age of 19.  He is currently a Learning Facilitator for ultimate frisbee and trains coaches for ultimate.  In ultimate he has coached high school students for 17 years, bringing players to Regional, Provincial, and National Championships, winning championships at all levels.  At the high school level Reg coached in 19 BC Championship finals in the Sr. and Jr. divisions, winning 9 times.  He also coached a team of BC/Wash players to win the Girls USA/Canada High School National Ultimate Championships in 2001.  As a player in the early 90’s he represented British Columbia for several years at Nationals and played for Canada at the World Championships while in university in 1990.  Reg played his minor hockey in Kingston Ontario and switched to coaching hockey when his kids were starting to play sports.  Reg has coached in the AMHA and AFHA for the past 10 years, winning league banners in both associations as Head Coach and multiple league and playoff banners as an assistant coach.  He is excited to work with this years U13A coaching team and players as we strive to bring REP hockey back to Abbotsford at the U13 level in the AFHA.
