Abbotsford Female Hockey Association will be participating in the Canada Day festivities being held in Abbotsford, BC on July 1, 2022.

We invite all AFHA players and parents to participate by walking in the parade and continuing the celebrations all the way to Abbotsford Exhibition Park (Rotary Stadium) where we will have a hockey interactive play zone and information booth setup to spread the word of girls hockey!

Important Information

Check-in – by 9:45am. Please note that the parking lot area will be very busy and it will be difficult to enter later than this time. Limited team jerseys will be handed out to players at check-in. If players have their own Abbotsford Ice jerseys, they are welcomed to wear them. Players are asked to return jerseys to our information booth that will be setup on the eastern field of Rotary Stadium after the parade ends. If players wish to wear roller blades/in-line skates, they MUST wear helmets. Wearing elbow/knee pads is strongly encouraged.

Arrival area – All parade participants will be lining up on South Fraser Way between Bourquin Cres W and Ware Street. There will be a white tent on South Fraser Way where you can check in. Please enter via Ware street to face West down South Fraser Way. See map.

Parade time – Parade begins at 11:00 am and will last for approximately 2 hours.

Disbandment – All parade entrants must enter the W.J Mouat Secondary parking lot (32355 Mouat Drive) for disbandment at the end of the parade route. Once leaving the disbandment area, you must follow the regular rules of the road as per the Motor Vehicle Act. Please note, this parking lot will be reserved for parade entries only. People meeting you for child pickups, ride sharing, etc. should park in surrounding available parking lots (Surrounding churches & MRC parking lots available).
