AFHA is pleased to welcome Rebecca Briggs as the U15 C1 Assistant Coach! Rebecca grew up in Chilliwack, and during her childhood and teenage years, female hockey was not consistently available locally due to low interest, and as a result, she played in Abbotsford! With Abbotsford being her “home” association, Rebecca wants to give back and share her love and passion for the game with the association that helped her grow as an individual and as a player.

Outside of coaching, Rebecca works at an ice rink and spends two nights a week playing in a women’s league! This will be her 5th year coaching and will be her 3rd year coaching with AFHA. Rebecca is currently working towards becoming an elementary school teacher and has also successfully completed a sports psychology course at UFV, which helped grow her development as a coach.

As a coach, Rebecca hopes she can help players develop skills and confidence in a positive and supportive environment, all while building friendships, developing a stronger passion for the game, and always having fun! Welcome back to AFHA Rebecca!!
