Hello families and welcome to the AFHA 2026/2027 Season!
We are excited to start another season with both new and familiar faces!
This information applies to all U7 to U18 House Players for the first few weeks of
September.
Please watch your email and download the TeamSnap app if you haven’t
already done so. Create an account and sign in, as all future schedule updates will be
communicated through TeamSnap.

Once your child has been added to their team, you can subscribe to their TeamSnap
calendar by following these SUBSCRIBE TO A TEAM INSTRUCTIONS

The official start of season September 7th. Players are expected to attend all
evaluations. Please be mindful of which rink each skate is being held at.
Please note that
these are not weekly ice times and will change from week to week. We have been given
limited ice time for the first few weeks of September.

U11 – U18 house players will be participating in evaluations. Evaluators will be in
at the rink, and we ask that parents, players, and siblings do not sit near them. We
appreciate your understanding, as this helps minimize distractions and supports a fair
evaluation process.

Moving forward, schedules are updated at the end of each month for the upcoming
month due to PCAHA scheduling practices. Unfortunately, this sometimes means we
receive only a few days’ notice of upcoming ice times. This is outside of AFHA’s control, and
schedules will be sent to families as soon as possible after they are received from PCAHA.
First Weeks of Ice Time

U7 There are no evaluations for U7. They will skate together this season.
– Monday September 14th – 5:30pm – 6:30pm at Summit Centre East

U9 The first week will focus on skills and skating to get everyone warmed up and ready for
the season. U9 evaluations will then take place the weekend of September 19-20. Exact
schedules will be sent out soon.
– Tuesday September 8th – 4:00pm – 5:00pm at ARC
– Friday September 11th – 4:30pm – 5:30pm at MSA

U11 Players will be split into two groups. Group assignments will be emailed to U11 families by Sunday Sept 6th at 8pm. Please Note: Tuesday night’s ice is split with no ice clean in between.
U11B must exit the ice immediately at 7:45pm.

o Tuesday, September 8th 7:45pm – 8:30pm at MRC
o Saturday, September 12th 12:15pm – 1:30pm at ARC
– U11B
o Tuesday, September 8th 7:00pm – 7:45pm at MRC
o Sunday, September 13th 12:30pm – 1:30pm at ARC

U13
– Tuesday, September 8th 6:45pm – 8:00pm at MSA
– Thursday, September 10th 6:30pm – 7:45pm at MSA

U15
– Wednesday, September 9th 6:45pm – 8:00pm at MRC
– Thursday, September 10th 8:00pm – 9:00pm at MRC (Shared with U18)

U18
– Wednesday, September 9th 8:15pm – 9:30pm at MRC
– Thursday, September 10th 8:00pm – 9:00pm at MRC (Shared with U15)

U21
– U21 ice times will be added to TeamSnap

Speaking of Ice… We Need Your Help!
We are still looking for someone to step into the role of Ice Allocator and become
our next star volunteer! And the best part? You do not need to attend any board meetings!
